SMH article about pubs and clubs

“PUBS and clubs have spent more than $800 million constructing new outdoor areas for patrons in a bid to sidestep the full indoor smoking ban which comes into effect on July 2.”

These groups have the opportunity to enhance their INDOOR environments, and at the fraction of the amount needed to build an outdoor area.

Besides for all the good reasons for getting rid of smoking tabacco indoors, I’m not sure a lot of venues realise how an un-smoky atmosphere will change the mood of their environment , not to mention, now reveal previously unmasked odours like detergents, gaudy perfumes, at worst the smell of sweat…ughh.
